Before you continue
By using this website, you agree to these terms. A consultation request does not itself create an appointment or paid engagement. Any service-specific proposal, invoice, cohort guide or written agreement accepted by you will also apply and will control if it expressly differs from these general terms.
About these terms
These Terms & Conditions form an agreement between you and Halisans when you use the website or purchase, enrol in or participate in a Halisans service. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to act for it.
You must be at least 18 years old to enter a paid service agreement. A younger participant may take part only where Halisans has agreed appropriate arrangements with a parent, guardian, school or sponsoring organization.
Nothing in these terms removes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
Website use
Halisans provides this website for information, consultation requests and access to its mentorship, career-development and cybersecurity consulting services. You may use it only for lawful purposes and must not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, scrape protected content or impersonate another person.
Website content is general information. Service descriptions may be refined as programmes evolve, but Halisans will not materially reduce an already purchased service without communicating an appropriate remedy.
Consultation requests and service agreements
Submitting the consultation form creates a request for review. It does not automatically confirm an appointment, require Halisans to accept an engagement or require you to purchase a service. Scope, timing, delivery format, fees and any specific deliverables are agreed separately in writing.
Halisans may decline or redirect a request where it falls outside available expertise, creates a conflict, requires a regulated or specialist service not offered, presents a security concern or cannot be delivered responsibly.
You are responsible for providing enough accurate context for the engagement. Do not send passwords, live credentials, payment-card details or sensitive organizational material until suitable handling arrangements have been agreed.
Mentorship programme
Cohort dates, session times, delivery format, curriculum sequence and mentor availability are communicated before enrolment. Halisans may make reasonable changes to session order, exercises, facilitators or delivery arrangements where needed to preserve programme quality, safety or availability.
Successful completion requires all of the following:
- Meet the attendance requirement communicated for the cohort.
- Complete all required practical assignments.
- Submit and present the final capstone project.
- Complete the career-readiness review.
- Meet Halisans professional conduct standards.
Halisans will apply the communicated standards fairly and may offer a reasonable opportunity to correct incomplete work where the cohort timetable and academic integrity allow. Attendance exceptions or accessibility arrangements should be requested as early as possible.
Guaranteed internship opportunity
Every participant who successfully completes the published mentorship requirements receives an internship opportunity.
The opportunity may be delivered through Halisans, a partner or an appropriate host organization. Its timing, duration, work pattern, location, supervision, tasks and any allowance are set out in the applicable placement terms. Unless those placement terms expressly say otherwise, the guarantee does not promise a particular employer, start date, location, salary or permanent role.
If an intended host becomes unavailable, Halisans may provide another suitable placement or an equivalent supervised internship opportunity. A participant must complete reasonable onboarding, identity, eligibility, confidentiality, security and conduct requirements. The opportunity may be deferred or withdrawn if a participant provides false information, becomes unreachable, refuses reasonable placement arrangements without discussing an alternative, or commits serious misconduct.
The internship guarantee is not a guarantee of permanent employment, promotion, certification, immigration status or any particular employment outcome. Employment decisions remain with the relevant employer or host.
Fees, invoices and payments
Prices, taxes, payment dates, instalments and included deliverables are confirmed before a paid engagement begins. You should pay only using instructions contained in an official Halisans proposal, invoice or agreed communication.
Unless the written service terms say otherwise, fees are due by the stated invoice date. Halisans may pause access, sessions, deliverables or placement activity while an undisputed payment is overdue, after giving reasonable notice.
You are responsible for bank, transfer or currency-conversion charges imposed by your provider. Halisans is responsible for accurately describing its own fees before payment.
Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
Service-specific cancellation and rescheduling terms will be disclosed before payment and take priority over this general section. If you need to change an agreed session, contact Halisans as early as reasonably possible. Repeated late cancellations or non-attendance may be treated as a delivered session where that condition was clearly communicated in advance.
If Halisans cancels a paid service or cannot deliver a material part of it, Halisans will offer a reasonable replacement, rescheduling or refund for the undelivered portion. Where you cancel, any refund will consider work already completed, reserved capacity, materials already supplied and the specific written cancellation terms.
Nothing in this section limits a refund, repeat performance or other remedy available under applicable law where a service is not supplied or is not delivered to the required standard.
Participant and client responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and keep Halisans informed of material changes.
- Use security labs, tools and techniques only in environments where you have clear authorization.
- Respect other participants, mentors, staff, hosts and partner organizations.
- Protect credentials, private links, course access and confidential information.
- Complete your own assessed work unless collaboration is expressly permitted.
Halisans may remove a participant from a session, programme, community or placement for harassment, dishonesty, unsafe technical activity, serious disruption, confidentiality breaches or conduct that creates material risk. Where appropriate, Halisans will explain the concern and allow a reasonable response before a final decision.
Intellectual property and learning materials
The website, curriculum, templates, recordings, exercises, presentations, branding and original learning materials belong to Halisans or its licensors. You receive a personal, limited, non-transferable licence to use supplied materials for your own learning or the internal purpose agreed with Halisans.
You must not sell, publish, upload, reproduce for a group, share account access, record a session without permission or use Halisans materials to deliver a competing programme. You retain ownership of original work you create, subject to any third-party materials and the limited permission needed for Halisans to review, assess and administer that work.
Halisans will not publicly identify you or publish your work as a testimonial, case study or portfolio example without appropriate permission.
Confidentiality and client information
Each party should protect non-public information received through an engagement and use it only for the agreed purpose. This does not cover information already lawfully known, independently developed, publicly available without breach or required to be disclosed by law.
General consultation and mentorship do not automatically create a formal non-disclosure agreement. Where sensitive organizational information is necessary, the parties should agree appropriate confidentiality, access and data-handling terms before it is shared. Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy.
Professional limitations and outcomes
Halisans provides education, mentorship, career development and scoped cybersecurity consulting. Unless a separate written agreement expressly includes it, a service is not a legal opinion, certification audit, penetration test, managed security service, incident-response retainer or guarantee that a system is secure.
Guidance depends on the context and information available at the time. You remain responsible for professional, technical, hiring, investment and organizational decisions and should obtain specialist legal, financial or regulated advice where needed.
Except for the internship opportunity expressly described above, Halisans does not guarantee employment, promotion, examination or certification results, income, business performance or a particular security outcome.
Third-party services and links
The website may link to partner, employer, certification, learning or other third-party websites. Halisans does not control their availability, terms, content or privacy practices. A link or placement relationship does not make Halisans responsible for a third party's independent decisions or services.
Availability, disclaimers and liability
Halisans takes reasonable care in delivering the website and agreed services but cannot promise uninterrupted website access or that every error will be corrected immediately. Planned maintenance, provider failures, security events and circumstances beyond reasonable control may affect availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the relevant service was agreed. Halisans' total liability arising from a paid service will not exceed the amount paid for the affected service, except where the law does not permit that limit.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any statutory consumer right or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Suspension and termination
Either party may end an ongoing engagement as allowed by the applicable written service terms. Halisans may suspend or terminate access for material breach, serious misconduct, non-payment, unlawful activity or a credible security risk. Where the issue can reasonably be corrected, Halisans will normally give notice and an opportunity to do so.
Terms concerning payment already due, confidentiality, intellectual property, privacy, liability and dispute resolution continue after an engagement ends where their nature requires it.
Disputes and governing law
These general terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to any mandatory rights that apply in your location. The parties should first try to resolve a concern directly and in good faith using the contact route below.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria unless the parties agree another lawful process in writing. Consumers retain the right to seek assistance from the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or another competent authority.
Changes to these terms
Halisans may update these terms when services, delivery methods or legal requirements change. Updated terms apply from the effective date shown on this page. A material update will not retrospectively remove an agreed right from an active paid engagement unless you accept the change or the law requires it.
